A few recent photos

For Christmas I had bought Becky some chocolates for the local speciality chocolate shop, Stam Chocolaterie. She still had a few left and I decided to photograph them before any more disappeared.

Fresh loaf of bread from high angle

I had Friday off for vacation and baked several loaves of bread. This is the first one and it rose very nicely. We sliced several slices off for lunch before I went upstairs to photograph it. This is from about 6' away at about 7' in height, looking angled down and zoomed into about 170mm.

This is a slice of the first loaf of bread that I made today (Friday). I did photograph this with soft even white light, but when I shot this to see how the snoot light was looking I decided to do a hard shadowed shot. Shot from about 6' at about 7' in air at zoomed in 200mm setting.

Brent had 2 teeth pulled at the dentist. He was brave and didn't move through the injection or extraction. The first tooth took about 20 seconds of tugging before it came out. This is what his reaction might have been had he actually moved any during the time.

Brent was done with home school work when I got home. He was playing with his Starwars Deathstar/Darth Vader transformer. I decided to use my 60" umbrella without the black backing and shoot it as a shoot through instead of reflected. After I set up my lighting I had him sit down and talk to me about his day while I periodically shot frames and adjusted the power of the flashes. This was just a two light setup.

We love clementines. On Sunday, I bought a box of them at Hy-vee. I had dropped Brent and Danielle off for swimming at Med City Aquatics swim lessons. Natalie and I went shopping together and had a great time. These disappear quickly in our house. I remember that my sister Carrie always loved these as well.
