Green Peppers

Green Peppers, originally uploaded by Carl's Photography.

Fresh Green Peppers. Becky and I went out and picked just the biggest peppers. There are still a lot on the bushes. This is a huge bowl with about 40 peppers in it. After it sat in the photography room for a day, there was this wonderfully aromatic fresh green pepper smell.

Strobist info: SB-900 into 60" Impact shoot through umbrella camera right. SB-800 into 45" Impact umbrella reflected with black backing on camera left. SB-600 through pringles can snoot camera left at 10 oclock hidden from view of the camera by styrofoam board. On board pop up flash used for commanding as well as adding some on axis fill at 1/8. I calculated that I wanted close to 1 foot of Depth of field and thus at a focus distance of about 4 feet with my 50mm prime lens I needed to shoot at a minimum of f/10.

Morning Sun and Dew on a Country Road

Morning Sun and Dew on a country Road. The morning that I went out had so many interesting photography sights. The fog in the valley to the left looks just like continuation of the clouds but is actually dense fog covering the valley. The golden field is actually ripe peas. The field to the right is soybeans

Down in the Valley

Down in the Valley, originally uploaded by Carl's Photography.

Down in the Valley, the Valley so low, hang your head over, and see the fog blow. I got up early one morning and noticed lots of fog in the valley. I drove around looking for interesting photo locations. Here is about a mile from our place. Looking over a ripe pea field, with a distant river valley.
