Jump Right In
Posted during an evening in November of 2010 while the snow is flying outside, these memories of summer and swimming are remembered fondly. I made this photograph of Brent mid air just as he jumped in. We were boating on the 4th of July in 2007 and had just enjoyed a picnic lunch on the deck of the pontoon boat. We were anchored by ourself in the middle of the lake. The sun was hot, the food was good, and I jumped into to enjoy the great water after making this photo. Memories.

I photographed Brent and then Natalie with the clouds lit by the sunset. At the end, I had Natalie photograph several of me. Brent was holding the stand with umbrella since the wind would have knocked it over. Natalie had held it most of the time. For this photo, Natalie held the umbrella while I photographed Brent.

Pink and Purple Clouds for a backdrop

Frosty Sunrise in Minnesota
Sunday morning, the sky turned purple as a the sun rose. The fields were covered with a thick frost. I walked outside, took a deep breath through my nose of the clean crisp air. I walked over to the south east corner of our acerage and set up my tripod. 6 photos shot in bracketed format (2,4,0 followed by -4,-2,-6). These were then composed in Adobe Lightroom, Photomatix, Lightroom, CS5 and finally back to Lightroom.

Grandma Maxine Christensen
For Carrie's, my sister's, baby shower we had my uncle Max and his daughter Olivia come up. The brought my grandma Maxine with them. Robert came with my parents. It was so good to see Grandma. It had been a couple of years since she had been up and it had been a year since we saw her. This is Sunday morning while I'm fixing breakfast of potatoe patties, scrambled eggs, waffles and fruit.
