Rushing River Waterfall - Old Fall River Road - Rocky Mountain National Park

After turning off the Fall River Road, we drove up the one way gravel Old Fall River Road. Part was up the steep gravel road, as it coursed through switchbacks, we came to a trail that led to this set of falls. Unfortunately, there was construction at the top where normal observation could take place. However, I was able to get this view from below.

Single image processed with luminosity masks in Photoshop. I also made an HDR image that I placed underneath and then with a mask at 50% brushed in a few details from the hdr processing. I was able to get a slower shutter speed with f/25 with polarizer on the end.

To get to the west side of the Tetons, you travel up and over and through a pass and descend into Idaho. We then found a road to lead us back into Grand Teton National Park on the west side. The three Teton Mountains are seen in the distance with the one on the left being the Grand Teton.

Lake of Glass in Rocky Mountain National Park

After hiking the trail to Alberta Falls, we continued on to Loch Vale and from there went on to Lake of Glass. This required hiking/scrambling up steep ledges of a 20 foot water fall to reach this scene. The air was so thin that I had to stop to take breathers after climbing up several boulders at a time.

Blurred Stream Rushing through Granite Rocks on the Beartooth Highway in Custer National Forest - Wyoming

We pulled off the Beartooth Highway onto the gravel shoulder. We then hiked past a sign that said 'hazardous falls' to reach this little bridge over the falls and rushing stream. I combined 3 exposures with a slow shutter speed to capture the movement of the water. This is located just off the Beartooth highway in Northern Wyoming in Custer National Forest.

Blurred Rushing Stream on the Beartooth Highway - Wyoming

A mountain rushing stream passed under the Beartooth Highway as we traveled towards Yellowstone. I doubled back, parked beside the road and we hiked to an overlook of the waterfall. The mist in the air was fresh on our faces. The grey sky held the sun back enough that I could make a photo with the water blurred.

Continuous lighting: 2 Fluorescent light banks - 1 left , 1 right with each having 2 5000k 4 foot 40 watt bulbs. These are contributing exposure at -3 to -4 EV.

Shot tethered into Lightroom with IR remote. Layers in processed in Photoshop for touch ups.
