Sunset with Two Sun Dogs (parhelia / parhelion) over the Minnesota Winter Countryside - a nice begining to the new year

Sunset tonight came with brilliant, beautiful and vibrant sun dogs (parhelia / parhelion). The fine mist of ice crystals in the air is likely the reason these were so visible. I made several photographs. This is a 3 shot merge to HDR done in Photomatix Pro and then massaged some in CS5.
Base HDR exposure 1/5000 sec at f/5.6 ISO 200 with "18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G VR" at 18 mm focal length on a Nikon D7000
